Thrilled to introduce Dr. Samir Tantawi, our new Senior Consultant – Cairo Office, bringing over 27 years of expertise in climate change planning and sustainable development! 🌍 With a Ph.D., Master’s, and Diploma in climate change, along with a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Dr. Tantawi’s extensive experience spans roles at the Ministry of Environment, managing UNDP projects, and leading climate change negotiations. 🌐

Since 2017, he’s been a Lead Author with IPCC and, as of 2023, serves as the Africa Board Member of the IPCC Task Force on GHG Inventory (TFI) Board. Dr. Tantawi is also a certified GCF Project Proposals Developer and Trainer. 🚀

Dr. Tantawi is also a Lead Reviewer with UNFCCC for climate change reports such as National Communication, Biennial Reprts, Nationally Determined Contributions, and Biennial Transparency Reports. Moreover, Dr. Tantawi is a CDM- Assessment Team and Methodolody Expert with Supervisory Body of the Article 6 of Paris Agreement
